Lord I Want to Know You

You'll find strength for times of trial, comfort for pain, provision for your soul's deepest needs. And your walk with God will be transformed. Discover the limitless power of God’s names. This Growth Group will continue the study of the
=wonderful book, “Lord I Want to Know You” by Kay Arthur.

Too Heavy a Yoke: Black Women and the Burden of Strength

The Growth Group will delve into the book of the same name and examine how
the Strong Black Woman ideology burdens African American women with
emotional strength, care giving, and independence, leading to physical and
emotional health issues like obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and anxiety.

Equipping the Saints

This Growth Group focuses on the exploration and application of the Apostle
Paul’s advice and counsel to the church at Corinth found in I Corinthians 1:1 -
6:20 as they struggled applying the Gospel to their environment and life. This
Growth Group is for any serious explorer of scripture. Diversity of age groups is
welcome to enhance the depth of the exploration. The texts are approached
through a dialogical exploration based on a model of inquiry/exegesis that forces
the explorer to struggle with the text and to critically analyze the text, formulating
the results of the God conversation that takes place in that analysis.

Igniting Faith and Growth in Christ
All are encouraged to join in this exciting new journey. Whether you’re seeking a
deeper understanding of your faith, a refresher on foundational principles, or
practical strategies for living out your beliefs. This Growth Group is designed to
deepen your faith and foster growth in the nature and character of Jesus Christ. It
will be a power-packed, Holy Spirit-led journey that aims to ignite your faith and
act as a catalyst for continued spiritual maturity.
